"Jazz & Lyrics - Heart & Soul"
The 2008 autumn season at the Pizza on the Park

“Every major capital needs its cabaret venue, a place for intelligent, sophisticated, witty words and music. This is ours…"

Evening Standard, 12 September 2008

We’ve gathered together a programme of exciting and varied performers to feature every Thursday evening at the Pizza on the Park from 11 September to 4 December inclusive, from 8.30 p.m. onwards each night.

Each of our fabulous performers has his or her own individual approach to jazz and lyrics, from Georgia Mancio’s sensitive lyrics sung in an array of languages, to Simon Green’s suave and intelligent interpretations of Sondheim and Coward, from the lyrical, musical pedigrees of Jacqui Dankworth and Ian Shaw, to the pithy repartee and harmonies of Shoo Shoo Baby.  And if you’re feeling worn out and weary, come and be blown away by Saxon!-UK!

Tickets will be £20 each, except £25 each on:

  • 2 October (Saxon!-UK with Joan Viskant)
  • 20 November (Jacqui Dankworth)
  • 4 December (Gary Williams and his “Swingin’ Christmas”).

The Pizza on the Park will also provide its usual appetising yet affordable menu if you wish to dine.  Your choice of refreshment is entirely up to you – from a slice of their delicious cheesecake with a coffee to a full three-course dinner with drinks.

We look forward to seeing you there!
